Deciding to have a Breast Augmentation or Breast Implant procedure means making several decisions. The most important of which is finding a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that you feel comfortable with. It’s important to check your Plastic Surgeon’s credentials and also to see photos of their previous patients to see if the results they have achieved appeal to you. Plastics Surgeon’s work can vary from one to another, so it is important to find one who understands your desires.
Setting up a consultation is the next step. In a consultation you and your prospective Plastic Surgeon will discuss the specifics of what you hope to achieve and find out whether or not these hopes are realistic. If you’re in good health and the goals are realistic, you will likely be considered a good candidate. Then you will need to determine the type and size of implant you want, as well as the shape and surface type. There are also incision points to consider. At this time it may also be brought up that a Breast Lift in conjuncture with a Breast Implant may be needed to achieve the look you described. Your Plastic Surgeon will help you make these decisions, of course, but it helps if you know a little about each option before hand.
On of the best ways to decide what kind of implants you want, is to look at several before and after photos of various kinds of implant procedures and find out which ones you are naturally attracted to, then bring a photo of it in to your consultation and show your Plastic Surgeon. A visual aide never hurt!
