I just wanted to properly thank you for everything you’ve done for me regarding my breast surgery/reconstruction. From the moment I met you, I knew you would be the best choice as my plastic surgeon. There was really no need for me to consult with anyone else. The decision to have a mastectomy at age 40 was truly the most difficult one I have had to make. However, your professionalism, knowledge, and kindness made me so comfortable with my decision.

Before, during, and after each of my surgeries, I had numerous visits with you and your strive for the best possible outcome for me was evident. I have to say that, “although I miss the feeling of my old breast, I like the appearance of the new one even more.” When I look at myself in the mirror I cannot believe what you were able to accomplish! You are truly an artist!

I was very fortunate that the breast cancer was detected early, and blessed even further to have been given my new “BODY BY Z.”

I want to thank each and every one of your staff for the kindness they offered to me during every visit. They are an amazing team!

I find Dr. Zienowicz to be an amazing doctor. He always makes me feel comfortable and takes the time to answer my questions. His staff is always wonderful and very helpful. I’ve had multiple surgeries for skin cancer removal on my face over the years and Dr. Z has done all my plastic surgery and reconstruction. I trust him and he does amazing work.

“I’m currently under Dr Z’s care after undergoing surgery for a breast lift and a tummy tuck a little over two months ago. I decided to consult a plastic surgeon for these procedures following a weight loss of almost 100lbs. I thought about doing it for years, but was always a bit nervous about the idea of going under the knife for a major surgery….an elective major surgery! That is, until I met Dr Z! I was actually referred to him by another surgeon and am so thankful for it.

I knew after my initial consultation that I was not only ready, but I was going to be under the care of the best surgeon! Its not hard to click with Dr Z…he is such a warm, gentle, kind soul who put me at ease from the first handshake. He not only listened to my concerns, but he asked me questions as well….A fact that showed me that this whole journey was going to be a team effort! I was going to have this surgery and Dr Z was going to see me through every step of the way….wor king TOGETHER with me to obtain MY desired outcome. That’s what impressed me the most. He made me feel like I was his only patient! I knew that if I put the work in, he was going to give me 100%. I could not be more satisfied with the results! I worked so hard to lose the weight, but was never truly satsified by how my body looked. Dr Z gave me the body that I imagined for years but couldn’t quite get on my own.

He was there for me before, during, and after my surgery, even calling my home to check on me! That’s a caring person! He gained the respect of my parents and my fiance (who all aided in my recovery) by speaking with them and putting them at ease!! He became a friend to us all! He is absolutely amazing….His talent is such a gift and I’m truly blessed to have him as my doctor!! I can’t end without mentioning Dr Z’s staff.

The surgical nurses were great. They made me feel so comfortable and even updated my family in the waiting room during my surgery!

We were all very grateful for that. I had my follow up appointments with Maggie, who is absolutely wonderful!! She is so friendly and sweet! Most importantly, she was so reassuring especially within my first few weeks of recovery. She told me to call her anytime and she meant it! No matter how small my concern, she always made me feel at ease. Dr Z, Maggie, and all staff…. Thank you for taking care of me!!!!”

I just really want to thank you for all you’ve done for me. Although my post surgical recuperation was tougher than I had anticipated, you were right there encouraging me and promising me it would be okay.

You made me feel so beautiful at my appointment this past Friday. I could see in your eyes that you meant it. I can tell you are proud of your work and I feel you see what you as a work of art. I realize how difficult it must be for you every day trying to make women feel good about themselves. Thank you for taking the time to bring me into your office and answer my questions about my implants. Also, thanks for indulging me and letting me get a picture taken with you.

Here is a proverb I found that kind of sums up my feelings and it is all thanks to you:

This is to thank you for the absolutely wonderful care and treatment I have received from each and every member of your staff. I know I will probably see you several times in the future, but I wanted to say thank you once again for seeing me safely and successfully through my surgery. I am the woman whose story “I Got the News All Women Dread” appeared as the Cover Story in Providence Journal’s “Lifestyles” magazine, on Dec. 26, 2004. I wanted to demystify the experience of being diagnosed and undergoing reconstruction surgery; at the same time, I wish to herald my RI doctors, Theresa Graves and Rick Zienowicz, as well as Linda Livingston in radiology (she has since married and has a new name).

Now, I have submitted a follow-up piece to Seth Klaiman for possible publication in the hospitals newspaper and have sent in a contribution to the mammography department of RI Hospital last December. You see, I know how fortunate I am and would like to work so that others might have a similar positive outcome. To that effect, I offer my services as a spokesperson and fund-raiser. I have experience in public-speaking and know I could be a valuable resource: after all, I am a RI woman who has recovered well from 4 surgeries over 2 years, a woman who today has a positive outlook do to the skill of RI surgeons. In addition, I am a writer and a speaker.

Thank you for the amazing job on my surgery. The whole experience from consultation to recovery, exceeded my expectations. (Surgery on Wednesday, in Boston on Saturday.) Six months later, no visible scars and it feels like my body was always this way!
